We describe a widely applicable, strong, bonding technique that is very thin, several nanometers, so that an intimate contact is made between the surfaces. Extensions for not perfectly flat surfaces are demonstrated, but can retain the covalent bonding surface to surface. These factors advance nanoglue techniques far beyond simply an enhancement of metal-metal bonding, which is state of the art.
