Graduate Student Advising

  1. Advised Marty DeWitt for his Ph.D. awarded in 2008. After graduation, he continued as a lecturer at High Point University in Greensboro, NC. Marty received SURA/JLAB fellowship for the years of 2001 and 2002.
  2. Advised Yuriy Mishchenko for his Ph.D. awarded in 2004. After graduation, he was appointed as a post-doc. at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory(CSHL) in New York starting from January, 2005. Yuriy received SURA/CEBAF fellowship for the years of 2002 and 2003.
  3. Advised Abouzeid Shalaby for his Ph.D. awarded in 2004. After graduation, he was appointed as an Assistant Professor at Cairo University in Egypt starting from fall, 2004.
  4. Advised Ho-Meoyng Choi for his Ph.D. awarded in 1999. After graduation, he was appointed as a post-doc. at Carnegie-Mellon University for three years and then joined as a faculty at Kyungbuk National University in 2002. Ho-Meoyng received SURA/CEBAF fellowship for the years of 1996 and 1997.
  5. Advised Alex Chiu-Yan Pang for his Ph.D. awarded in 1995 and M.S. degree completed in 1991. After Ph.D., he was appointed as a post-doc. at Indiana University. Alex received SURA/CEBAF fellowship for three years since 1992.
  6. Co-advised Robert A. Williams for his Ph.D. awarded in 1993. After graduation, he was appointed as a post-doc. at Hampton Univeristy and jointly at CEBAF.
