IMPORTANT NOTE:
You must bring a copy of the lab procedure to lab (follow links above) • A procedure will not be provided for you, and no printers are availabe in the lab rooms.

Note: labs are taught on Thursdays and Fridays

Grading:

You are required to turn in a report within 1 week of each lab (Please consult the lab report guidelines before you write the report). The reports should be turned in to your TA's box on the first floor of Fox. They will be graded on a 20-point scale and all will be counted (lowest grade will not be dropped). The overall lab grade is worth 10% of your overall class grade. If you receive less than a 50% in lab you will receive an F in the lecture class, regardless of your other grades in lecture.

Plagiarism and Working Together:

Students may work together during lab and share data, but each student'slab report MUST be written indivdually. Students may NOT work together in writing lab reports. Reports that are identical OR substantually the same will receive a grade of zero, and the lab may not be made up. Additionally, a student may NOT use any lab report from a previous semester, EVEN HIS/HER OWN, for ANY reason in writing lab reports this semester. Any suspected plagiarism will be reported to the university and is subject to the university's plagiarism procedures.

Attendance:

Please arrive on time, if you are more than 10 minutes late for your scheduled lab, you will be asked to make the lab up at another time.
If you miss a lab please consult the "Making up a Lab" section of this page.

Making Up a Lab:

If you miss a lab please fill out the making-up a lab form[PDF]. Notice that you need to get your lecture professor to sign the form. Without a form you will not be admitted to another lab. If you wish to make up a lab the students registered for that section have priority and you will be asked to leave if the lab is full.

To attend the make-up lab at the end of the semester you must get this form filled out and then signup for a make-up section during the last weeks of labs. This may only be used to replace a MISSED lab, not to substitute a low score on a graded lab (to effectively "drop" the lowest score).
