Note: labs are taught on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Expectations of Lab Students:

You must bring a copy of the lab procedure to lab (follow links above). A procedure will not be provided for you, and no printers are available in the lab rooms. You must maintain a notebook with the worksheet for each lab properly filled out with relevant data and calculations. If there is a problem with a webassign or lab equipment this worksheet will determine your grade for that lab.
You must bring a calculator, and a writing utensil.
You must arrive on time. If you are more than 10 minutes late you will be asked to make the lab up at another time.(see "making up a lab" below)
You are expected to be a good group member: include all memebers of the group in lab activities, work effectively and efficiently as a group memeber, assist other group members when needed.
You must check your WebAssign regularly for important announcements and newly posted assignments.Most labs have a prelab, data analysis and a postlab.
- PreLabs will be due 1 hour before the start of each lab
- Data Analysis will be due 10 minutes after the end of each lab
- PostLabs will be due 1 hour before the start of the next lab
You are to complete these webassign components by their due dates.

Grading:

There will be 10 labs during the session. They will consist of a PreLab, Data Analysis (in lab) and a Post Lab. Each of these will have a corresponding Webassign. Pre Labs will be worth 20%; Data Analysis will be 50% and Post Labs will be 30% of the final lab grades. Please note the due dates, as extensions will only be given for extreme circumstances.

Your overall lab grade is worth 10% of your overall class grade. If you receive less than a 50% in lab you will receive an F in the lecture class, regardless of your other grades in lecture. Also, your lowest grade will not be dropped.

Plagiarism and Working Together:

Please complete all webassign free response questions in your own words. Data collected from previous semesters (even if it was collected by YOU) or data that is collected by your group members while you were not present, is not acceptable. All suspected plagiarism will be evaluated and action will be taken to punish the violators.

Attendance:

Please arrive on time, if you are more than 10 minutes late for your scheduled lab, you will be asked to make the lab up at another time.

Makeup Labs:

If you miss a lab please fill out the making-up a lab form[PDF]. Notice that you need to get your lecture professor to sign the form. Without a form you will not be admitted to another lab. If you wish to make up a lab the students registered for that section have priority and you will be asked to leave if the lab is full.
